What is Google Sites?​

Google Sites is a free website builder offered by Google that allows users to easily create and share web pages without any coding knowledge. It is part of the Google Workspace suite and integrates seamlessly with other Google services like Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Forms.

Embbeding your Blubuddy Widgets on your Google Site Website

Step 1: Log In to Google Sites

Step 2: Create a New Site

  • Click on the “Blank Site” option to start building your website from scratch.

Step 3 : Access the Embed Option

  • Once the canvas opens, locate the right-side navigation panel and click on the “Embed” option.

Step 4 : Choose Embed Method

A dialog box will appear with two tabs:

  • By URL

  • Embed Code

Choose the "Embed Code" tab to proceed.

Step 5: Add Your HTML Widget Code

  • Paste your custom HTML code into the input field.

Step 6: Proceed to Insert

  • Click the “Next” button to preview the widget.

Step 7: Confirm & Insert

  • If everything looks correct, click the “Insert” button to embed the widget into your site.

Step 8: Publish Your Site

  • Finally, click the “Publish” button at the top-right corner of the editor to make your changes live.

If your BluBuddy chatbot isn’t appearing or functioning properly on your Google Sites website, try these quick fixes:

  1. Check Code Placement: Ensure the chatbot script is correctly pasted in Google Sites as per directions above.
  2. Verify Installation Code: Ensure that the "Update" button was pushed when the bot was being installed on Google Sites.
  3. Clear Cache & Refresh: Clear browser cache and refresh your website. Try opening it in Incognito Mode.
